Waterline Renewal Technologies

Sewers and the Meandering Oleander

This is the time of year when our residents can enjoy a little relief by way of rain.  The rain is a welcome change to our City but our residents also need to be mindful and even proactive when it comes to our sewer system. The City has a process put in place to eliminate storm water overflows and we do have a preventative maintenance program, but the fact still remains that overflows can occur.  The key is to keep awareness to protect your underground infrastructure.

Another culprit of pipeline clogs are roots gaining entry to the area around the pipe.  While Oleanders are a popular, low maintenance shrubs here in Phoenix. We can find these beauties clustering this time of year.  This is another continual problem when it comes to sewer lines. Because the roots of plants naturally seek out water sources, the roots can find their way through the pipe joints or other openings and form a root ball once inside the pipe, creating an obstruction. However, keeping an eye on such culprits will go far to keep your residential sewer system free from damage.

Here at Perma-Liner Industries, we specialize in pipe line repair with our state of the art trenchless technology and Cured in Place Pipeline rehabilitation.  We have our own Perma-Lateral Lining System that eliminates roots and infiltration.
